TCL brand Alcatel at CES had unveiled three of its upcoming smartphones for 2018, the Alcatel 1X, Alcatel 3C, and Alcatel 5. On Wednesday however, yet another Alcatel smartphone was launched in Italy, the Alcatel 3C, indicating that the brand may have much more up its sleeve for the year than it had previewed at the trade show.
As reported by Italian site Android HDblog, the Alcatel 3C has been launched in Italy at EUR 129.99 (roughly Rs. 10,100), and it will be made available in three colour variants – Metallic Black, Metallic Blue, and Metallic Gold. A fingerprint sensors can be found on the rear panel.
The dual-SIM Alcatel 3C sports a 6-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) IPS display, featuring an 18:9 aspect ratio – in line with what the TCL brand had announced for all its 2018 smartphones – the highlight of the smartphone. The company says the large display has been fit in the form factor of a phone with a 5.5-inch display. The Alcatel 3C’s Android version has not yet been specified. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT8321 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM.
As for optics, the Alcatel 3C bears an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and flash, apart from a 5-megapixel fixed focus front camera. It features 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable via microSD card (maximum capacity unspecified). Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, and GPS. It measures 161x76x7.9mm and weighs 169 grams. It runs on a 3000mAh battery.
The Alcatel 3V that is set to launch later this year will sport dual rear cameras, TCL had revealed back at CES.
