Samsung is set to unveil its next phablet in the Galaxy Note series on Wednesday. The Galaxy Note 8 has been pretty much detailed in every way over the many reports in the past few weeks. We know that the Galaxy Note 8 will look similar to Galaxy S8 in terms of its bezel-less design language. It has also been tipped that the phablet will be priced around EUR 1,000 (roughly Rs. 75,400) and will likely be made available for pre-orders starting August 24, and it looks like Amazon India will get the rights to sell the Galaxy Note 8 in the country.
The Galaxy Note 8 will likely be exclusive to Amazon India based on the “Galaxy Unpacked” bannerdisplayed on the e-commerce site. Interestingly, Samsung’s recent Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ flagships were launched with Flipkart as the exclusive online partner. It still unclear whether the Galaxy Note 8 will also be available on Flipkart, but given the lack of promotional banner, it’s safe to say that it will be an Amazon exclusive.
Samsung’s newest flagship is expected to sport a 6.3-inch QHD (1440×2960 pixels) Infinity Display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9, which is marginally bigger than the Galaxy S8+. Past leaks suggest that it will be available in eight colour variants – Midnight Black, Arctic Silver, Orchid Gray/Violet, Coral Blue, Dark Blue, Deep Sea Blue, Pink, and Gold colour variants.

The Galaxy Note 8 is tipped to be powered by Exynos 8895 SoC globally, and Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 in the US and select other regions. It is also expected to come with a dual camera setup with two 12-megapixel sensors. The fingerprint sensor will be placed next to the camera setup similar to the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. It will likely be offered in a 6GB+64GB configuration, but a 256GB storage variant has also been suggested. The handset is expected to measure 162.5×74.6×8.5mm. Galaxy Note 8 has been tipped to house a 3300mAh battery that can be charged either wirelessly or through USB Type-C.
The Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event will begin at 8.30pm IST (11am EDT in New York), and can be live streamed on Samsung India’s website.
