Donnie Wahlberg left a $2,000 tip on an $82 bill at a Waffle House in North Carolina, and he wants to make sure his fans know about it.
The 47-year-old “Blue Bloods” actor posted a selfie with the restaurant staff and a screenshot of the check on social media late Wednesday night.
“My mom waited tables, and my dad tended bars– for years!” he captioned the photos, “So, when I walk into a #WaffleHouse, and the staff treats me like a king, you better believe I treat them like queens! Thanks to the team at @wafflehouseofficial Charlotte, NC! ❤️”
The New Kids on the Block singer also posted a Facebook Live of his Waffle House dining experience, where he sat with fans and handed out backstage passes to Thursday’s concert. He also joked that he was inviting the entire staff and patronage to the show.
The video continues on for 11 minutes.
“This Waffle House is happening,” Wahlberg says, adding, “I need to come to Charlotte more often.”[“Source-pagesix”]
