Apple is selling refurbished iPhone 8 and 8 Plus starting at $499

Apple has started selling refurbished versions of the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus from last year. You can find both in its online store.

The refurb iPhone 8 with 64GB of storage can be yours for $499, which is $100 less than its regular price. The 64GB iPhone 8 Plus in refurbished form is $599, also $100 less than if you get a new one. All units are unlocked and should work with all the big four US carriers.

Keep in mind that these are units refurbished by Apple itself, which means you they’re tested, certified, cleaned, given a new battery and outer shell, and come with a one-year warranty that you can extend with AppleCare+.

So at this point these are the cheapest alternatives to the new iPhones that are quite expensive – even the iPhone XR. If you don’t want the notched look and don’t care about the huge bezels on the 8 series, but want to save some money when purchasing an iPhone, this might just be for you.

However, keep in mind that refurbished stock is limited and can sell out at any point. It fluctuates frequently, so act fast if this offer interests you.
