Oppo’s new technology can fully charge a smartphone in just 15 minute

While Oppo hasn’t managed to break the smartphone market the way a few other Chinese brands have recently, it does have a relatively strong fan following of its own. And those fans are about to be in for a treat soon.

The company launched a new quick charging technology yesterday at MWC 2016, called Super VOOC Flash Charge, that is capable of charging most of their phones in under 15 minutes. According to a company statement to the media, Super VOOC can fully charge a 2500mAh battery in a quarter of an hour over global standard micro USB and Type-C cables. If that holds up in real world testing, the technology is even faster than Qualcomm’s yet-to-be-launched Quick Charge 3.0.
