KOLKATA: Amid protests by using college students of IIT-Kharagpur, the schooling ministry today clarifiedthat students who are already enrolled in undergraduate courses were spared from the 122 in step withcent charge hike.
In a letter written to directors of all IITs, the Human resource development Ministry today said, “it ishereby clarified that the revised price might be relevant for college kids taking admission beginning fromeducational year 2016-17 onwards.”
the students currently analyzing might keep to pay at the existing charges, it stated.
The order got here a day after IIT-Kharagpur students protested by way of shouting slogans at the campusagainst the charge hike.
IIT- Kharagpur director Partha Pratim Chakraborty wrote an open letter to college students saying that the protests have left him “very sad“.
