Google’s Android ran afoul of social media users on Wednesday after encouraging humans to appoint aword beginning with the letter “N” for the state-of-the-art model of its cell operating platform.
An Android website requested for submissions for “any tasty thoughts that start with the letter N” for its new “Android N” operating platform, which turned into unveiled at its Google I/O builders convention on Wednesday.

The backlash ranged from mild ribbing to invocations of the term “the n-phrase,” that’s regularly used as a stand-in for an offensive racial slur.
