Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MAH CET) is the entrance exam for admissions to the B Schoolsin Maharashtra offering post graduate management courses like MBA, MMS and PGDM. The MAH CET scores are accepted by more than 100 B-schools across Maharashtra.

MAH-CET is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra.MAH CET 2017 was held on March 4 and 5, 2017. The result will be declared  on March 10, 2017.

After the declaration of the result, the admission process begins across the B schools in Maharashtra based on MAH CET 2017. This article mentions the details about MAH CET and top participating B Schools for 2017.

MAHCET Eligibility

Candidates who have completed their graduation or in  the final year of their graduation can apply for the MAH CET. The minimum marks required in graduation is 50% (45% for reserved categories and PWD, belonging to Maharashtra only) for being eligible to appear in MAH CET.

MAHCET Exam Pattern
The MAH CET 2017 Exam is composed of 200 Multiple Choice Questions to be completed in 150 minutes. The medium of the DTE MBA exam is in English Language only. This exam consists of 4 sections- Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning and Verbal Ability/ Reading Comprehension.One mark is awarded for every right answer, hence making it a total of 200 marks andthere is no negative marking.

Counselling Procedure through MAHCET

MAH CET 2017 Counselling process includes Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The shortlisted students on the basis of merit list prepared after MAH CET results will be called for counseling to avail the admissions in their preferred MAH CET participating B school.

There will be three rounds for CAP. Candidates have to register for each round of CAP by filling an online option form. The CAP rounds will be held from May to June, 2017. The total number of seats IS approximately 44,000 across the B schools in Maharashtra.
