IBPS PO – What is next?

Now that IBPS PO Results are out, congratulations to those who have get selected and better luck next time to those you couldn’t get through this time. Now the qualified candidates have to appear for the next round which is the personal interview. You can get hold of your call letter for IBPS Interview somewhere in the month of January 2017. The interview will be scheduled in either the month of January or in the month of February, 2017. And if you perform well in this last stage and gets selected, than later in the month of April, you can get your provisional allotment.

If you have cleared IBPS PO exam then that means you are already at par with the bookish knowledge and so, there is no need to go into that direction for now. All you need to focus on, is personal interview. Questions asked in the interview can be different for all candidates. You can be asked questions about yourself, about banking sector, general awareness, current affairs, and other such things. Personal interview is the last step of selection process of IBPS. You must not take it lightly and face the panel unprepared. You have to polish your personality, your answers and all such things. Otherwise, you might fall down from the very last step.

What can you do to ace IBPS Interview?

  • Stay organized

Don’t fumble in front of the officials and be confident while answering their questions. All your documents must be very neatly organized in a clean file. If you fail to present any of the required document, there are chances that you will be removed from the process. So, why to take the chance? Just get all the important documents with you in an organized manner.

  • Body Language matters

The first and most important part while facing the IBPS interview is your body language. Officials judge you over your body language even before you speak anything. The body might not speak in real sense but it definitely sends out an impression to person interviewing, whether you are an apt candidate for the job or not. So don’t be lazy or sit in an uncouth manner. Be bold, attentive and speak confidently without any hesitation. Ask for permission before sitting on the chair and wish everybody. Remember that you must show respect and say thanks to the panel members before leaving the room.

  • Brush up your communication skills

English being the main medium of communication at the workplace these days, so you must brush up your grammar knowledge and communication skills. You must not fumble while speaking and if you are not at all comfortable with English then don’t try speaking in it, rather just carry on with Hindi.

  • Dress properly and be on time

Remember it is an interview and not a party. You must dress appropriately. It is because of the fact that from the moment you enter in the Interview hall, till your first reply to any question, interviewer has already drawn an opinion about you. The impression has been made from the way you’re dressed, the way you sit and greet the panel. So, get on a clean and crisp formal look and don’t make the panel wait for you. They have other applicants as well in line.

  • Know your strengths and weaknesses

This is the most basic question and is asked in almost all interviews. It is the most important point while sitting in an interview for you to know where you are good at and where you’re not. Figure out your strengths and weaknesses. But remember you have to present your weaknesses in a very smart and clever way. Even your weakness should present you as a person of right approach. Or you can represent your weakness in such a way that it is countered by your strength.

  • Make it your habit to read newspaper daily

When you show up for IBPS personal interview, the officials in the panel expect you to be updated with the world. It is expected from you to know all the major events and recent happenings, preferably of the Financial Sector. And this you can only achieve when you read the newspaper and watch the news on daily basis. You can even search for some major events on internet and know all the details about them.
